TIM TOM ARCHITECTURE is an architecture studio based in Paris, France, praticing in museography, scenography, as well as with private clients for housing and office spaces.
TIM TOM ARCHITECTURE was founded by Steven Fuhrman, architect DEA+HMONP. Brought up in French and American culture and naturally open minded, his background has been reinforced by collaborations with such international and talented architects as Jean Nouvel, Marc Barani, Elizabeth and Christian de Portzamparc, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, RDAI, Barclay & Crousse, Miralles Tagliabue. These collective experiences have resulted in a profound skill set accumulated over fifteen years in France and abroad: New York, Barcelona, Lima, Abu Dhabi.
Over five years of detail design and site supervision for the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum in the United Arab Emirates allowed him to develop a constructive approach, a love of detail, seeking precision, while embracing challenges and problem solving.
An artistic dimension has been present and constant in his life ever since starting higher education through his sensitive and sensory approach in project creation.
Constructions of various micro-architectures made in collaboration with Atelier YokYok from 2009 to 2017 demonstrate this tendency.
An avid traveler, these trips allow him to observe the world, and explore new places in order to discover ways to live differently and taste new flavors.
As architecture is built by many participants, in order to carry out the projects, TIM TOM ARCHITECTURE embodies a Team Tom team spirit, both by the architect and his client, by the architect with his fellow architects, by the architect with his co-contractors, by the architect with the construction companies.
